Hi Jo,
Its been a long time since we met at the SAKG training day in Collingwood last year when we received our Kitchen Aid. She has been rocking our world ever since and I don’t know who is loving her more, me or the kids, OK, it’s me! I’ve just booked tickets to the Good Food and Wine Show and see that you’ll be presenting there. Do you have your time table yet as it would be lovely to see you again! We are heading down on the Sunday and hope to catch you. Please keep me posted.
Gina from Point Cook

Jo
Hi Jo – Like one of your other questioners, I have a Stand Mixer and just received a Food processor for Christmas. The mixer is a breeze, is wonderful and I use it all the time.
However, I am struggling with the Food processor. Mine sometimes just stops working and I have to push the whole bowl further to the right to get it to start again….it’s as if the bowl is moving slightly. Is this normal or should I look at returning it? Also, I think at some point I have used the used the blades and bowls incorrectly. Perhaps there is somewhere in Melbourne I can go to get some one-on-one instruction about what to use where.
Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Joanne
This certainly doesn’t sound normal and I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Please give our fabulous customer service team a call on 1800 990 990 and they will be able to give you a hand and point you in the right direction.
I’m sure you’ll be enjoying your processor just as much as your standmixer in no time!
Jo
Jo,
I have the kitchen aid mixer and I love it.
I am currently looking at buying an electric cheese grater so I can grate my own parmesan cheese. What would be the best accessories to buy? I like my Parmesan cheese very fine. Thanks
Hi Roseanne,
The perfect KitchenAid standmixer attachment for you is the Rotar Shredder slicer. It has a series of drums that do everything including the most wonderful grating. There is a additional set which has a very fine drumb, i use this for grating nuts to make almondmeal, hazelnutmeal, pecanmeal and very fine grated parmesan.
The drumbs a superbly made (in Germany) and make grating a breeze.
There are many recipes on the kitchenAid.com.au recipe website which i have used the shredder grater attachment… it is a great asset to the standmixer

Hi Jo
I love my kitchen aid which I received as a surprise last Xmas l was speechless it really has turned our kitchen into a bake house and we just want to keep making cakes. We have the pasta makings attachments which we use constantly and the slicing drums which I havent used much – can you explain which ones for what. Also are there any demonstrations coming up in Melbourne or south gippsland.
Tracey
Hi Tracey,
I love your email and to read how thrilled you are with your mixer. yes ‘she’ will change your cooking life!
The rotor shredder slicer is sensational, it is so very quick and only needs a quick wash and its all done.
There are a selection of slicers, shredders and graters YES!! With out standing with you it is dificault to show you which is what.
I wonder if you have the set with 3 drums or the set with 6 drums?
I would grab a couple of potatoes, apples carrots and some cheese… pop them through and see what you get!
I redullarly grate all sorts of fruits vegies and cheese, slice loads of vegies and grate my own fresh almond meal, pecan meal etc.. it all depends on what drums you have.
Sadly no there are not demonstrations currantly. But an odd apple, some cheese etc – will sjow you.
It is not hard to use and the best part is the drumbs are NOT sharp on the inside so YES you can put your fingers in and help move the food out!! It is NOT sharp and NOT dangerous.
I regularly cook with the attachments on TVSN a show on Foxtell.
You may be able to tune in?

Hi Jo – I have a Stand Mixer and Fod processor. The mixer is a breeze and is wonderful. I am struggling with the processor as I am not so confident and at some point used the wrong blade in the wrong bowl and don’t know what happened as ther are only 3 blades ( Mumma, Pappa and baby) and 3 bowls (Mumma Pappa and baby) – is there anywehere in Sydney where I can go to get some one-on-one instruction about what to use where. I have read the books, seen the video and watch you effortlessy producing masterpieces on TVSN but it is my confidence is letting me down – any suggestions?
Hello,
Christine, I have sent you a special email.
Hope we can chat soon
I will help you!
Jo
Hi Jo
Have been watching you on TVSN for quite some time and totally enjoy your work. I am very interested in purchasing the pasta making combination of accessories for the standmixer. I have read on the internet that the spaghetti cutter can cut finely enough to make angelhair pasta. Is this so? If yes, how would that be achieved.
Thanx
Liane

My wonderful hubby bought me one a Yellow Artisan mixer a couple of weeks ago and I appreciate reading members comments about where to start etc. I live in remote WA but would fly to Perth if Jo was doing any demos.
